Festival of Communities

Find us at Stepney Green Park to hear about the connections between our body systems, nutrition, and lifestyle choices. We will explore how the food we consume and the way we live our lives profoundly impact our overall well-being. Through hands-on experience, you will have the opportunity to create art pieces that draw connections between our environment and the cells that make up our bodies. We will also learn the art of crafting balanced meals using playdough, while gaining insights into managing blood sugar levels effectively. All Welcome!

The Liver: What does it do and what happens when it goes wrong?

Professor Will Alazawi speaks about the liver and what happens when it goes wrong. Big Question Lectures are delivered by top scientists at Queen Mary University of London, in partnership with Centre of the Cell and co-created with young people from the Youth Membership Scheme. They give audiences from age 14 the chance to hear from leaders in science and healthcare about the cutting-edge biology and innovative front-line medicine going on right here in east London.
